What is Zalamander Unitframes?
Unit frames with click healing for World of Warcraft: Forever 1.60.x. It draws party and raid frames for up to 40 players and its own frames for the player, target, target of target, focus, focus target and pet. Every frame is a module you can switch on or off, and every frame has its own options.
It grew out of Zalamander Heal (called ForeverHeal up to 0.4.4). The current version is 0.10.0-beta.
How do I install or update it?
Install it from CurseForge, best with the CurseForge app, which also installs the updates. Settings are saved per character and stay when you update.
Coming from Zalamander Heal or ForeverHeal? Remove the old addon, so that two addons don't set click bindings at the same time. Zalamander Unitframes starts with its defaults and the guided setup.
How do I open the settings?
Type /zuf (or /zalamander). It opens the addon's page in the game's settings: Esc → Options → AddOns → Zalamander Unitframes. The tree on the left has one page per topic, with sub-pages indented below.
Every change applies at once and is saved. There is no Save button.
WhereEsc › Options › AddOns › Zalamander Unitframes
Can I search the settings in the game?
Yes. The field “Search the settings” at the top of the start page finds pages, sections and every setting by its title and description, including the options of each single frame and, on the Click healing page, the mouse buttons and their actions.
- All words you type must appear; upper and lower case don't matter.
- Each hit says where it lives, for example “Single frames › Target › Health and resource”.
- A click or Enter (first hit) opens the page and the right tab and briefly highlights the setting.
- Esc clears the field. Like the pages themselves, hits don't open in combat.

What does the guided setup ask, and can I run it again?
The setup opens on your first login. Run it again any time with /zuf setup or General › Run the setup again. It has six steps, seven with click healing:
- Style: Modern or Classic, the themes of that family and health bars in class colors.
- Frames: on or off for each module. Hover a row to see what it does.
- For all frames: portrait, cast bars and your own frame in a party.
- Customize frames: portrait, width, height and eight switches per frame, with a preview.
- Do you want to heal with clicks? Yes leads to the next step. No gives the group frames Blizzard's clicks (left click targets, right click opens the menu).
- Click healing (only after Yes): a spell per mouse button and modifier, and on which single frames click healing works.
- Summary.
Nothing is saved before Done, and only what the setup changed. Skip ends it without changes. If combat starts, the setup closes and reopens with your answers afterwards.

How do I switch the interface language?
Choose Automatic, Deutsch or English. Automatic follows your game client: a German client gets German, every other client English. The new language applies after reloading the interface. Spell names always stay in your client's language.
The choice is stored per character and is never overwritten by someone else's profile.

Why can't I change settings in combat?
The game protects its secure frames in combat, and the unit frames are secure buttons. So the settings pages are locked while you fight. Your frames, click healing, auras and warnings keep working. Changes that touch protected frames (for example a new member order or group size) wait until combat ends and then apply on their own.
What are the “Important settings” on the start page?
Four switches that change many frames at once:
- Portrait (None, 2D, 3D, Class) for all single frames and the party up to 5 players. Raid sizes choose their portrait on the Group frames page.
- Style: Classic (Blizzard's art, single frames top left) or Modern (a flat theme, single frames bottom middle).
- Show cast bars for player, target and focus. Switched off, the game shows its own bar for your casts again.
- Show own frame in a party: you and your pet stand with the others in a party (in a raid always).
If your frames have different values, for example another portrait on the target, no choice is marked and the switch says “Mixed”. Picking a value then sets them all the same. The detail pages keep every individual setting.
WhereZalamander Unitframes › Important settings
How do I reset everything?
Click Reset all settings twice: the first click asks “Sure?” for a few seconds. It resets every setting of every group size, the positions, the language and the click bindings (back to automatic). A linked general profile is unlinked first, so your other characters are not affected. Saved profiles stay. Not available in combat.

Why does a section say “Up to 5 players” or “All group sizes”?
The group frames keep separate settings for six group sizes: 5 (solo or party), 10, 15, 20, 25 and 40. The frames switch automatically to the smallest size that fits your group (after combat, if needed) and tell you in the chat.
At the top right of the Group frames page you choose which size you are editing: All · 5 · 10 · 15 · 20 · 25 · 40. Each section says on the right whether it applies to the chosen size or to all group sizes.
- Per size: size, spacing, scale, arrangement, header, position, portrait, level, class icon, health text, buffs and debuffs, pets and tank targets.
- For all sizes: theme, class colors, click bindings, heal displays, filters, tooltips, raid markers, roles, hiding Blizzard's frames.
While the settings are open, the real frames show the size you selected. A note under the selector says whether it is your group's size right now.
WhereGroup frames › group size selector (top right)
How do I change a setting for every group size at once?
Pick All in the group size selector. Whatever you change now applies to every size from 5 to 40. Only the setting you change is copied: change the width with All and every size gets that width, while height and position stay per size. Choosing a single size or closing the settings ends it.
To copy every value of one size to another, pick the source size in the Group sizes section and click Copy (except position); with All selected it reads Copy to all (except position). With All selected, Recommended for all sizes loads the recommendation for every size at once.
WhereGroup frames › Frame › Group sizes
How do I make my party frames look like the raid frames?
Copy the values of a raid size into the size for up to 5 players:
- Open Group frames and turn to the third page of the Frame tab with Next page (bottom right).
- In Group sizes, choose the row Up to 5 players.
- Under COPY VALUES FROM, choose a raid size, for example 20.
- Click Copy (except position) and confirm with the second click.
Your party now gets the raid size's frame size, spacing, arrangement and portrait setting. The raid sizes have no portrait, so the Classic party art goes too. The position of your party frames stays where it was. To drop only the portrait and keep the size, choose Portrait: None in the Display tab for up to 5 players.
WhereGroup frames › Frame › Group sizes
What do the switches under “Your frames” do?
One switch per frame: Group frames, the six single frames and the Interface menu. Customize opens that frame's own page, where the same switch stands at the top.

Look and themes
Themes, Blizzard art, finishes, bar textures, fonts and animations.
Which themes are there?
The Design page groups them in three families. A click on a theme applies at once, and the preview on the right shows your own character.
- Blizzard art: Classic, Forever and Perl.
- Classes: My class (follows your character's class; the default for new characters) and one theme per class: Warrior · Battlefield, Paladin · Dawn, Hunter · Wilds, Rogue · Shadow, Priest · Sanctum, Shaman · Tides, Mage · Arcane, Warlock · Felfire and Druid · Grove.
- Own colors: Aurora (dark petrol and mint), Ivory (ivory on walnut) and Amethyst (dark violet and lavender).
Themes only change colors, art and borders, never frame sizes. Thanks to My class, one shared profile dresses every alt in its own class theme.
WhereDesign
What is the difference between the Modern and Classic style?
Classic uses Blizzard's art (a theme of the Blizzard family, otherwise Forever) and places the single frames at the top left, like in Classic Era. Modern uses a flat theme (your class or own-color theme stays, otherwise My class) and places the single frames bottom middle, above the action bars. When the arrangement changes, the single frames return to their places in it.
WhereZalamander Unitframes › Important settings › Style
What does the Classic theme look like?
The single frames are Blizzard's Classic Era frames, drawn with the client's original textures and Blizzard's own measurements: portrait ring, level circle, name band, and the elite, rare or rare-elite dragon. The party uses Blizzard's Classic party frames, the raid Blizzard's compact raid frames. Making a frame wider or narrower lengthens the bar rail, so nothing gets stretched.
The Classic art is drawn only with a portrait.
WhereDesign › Blizzard art › Classic
What does the Forever theme look like?
Forever is Classic in bronze. Blizzard's frame art is tinted bronze, and wherever Classic draws a grey border, Forever uses the bronze ring of its own menus. Party frames with a portrait look like Forever's own party frames. Menus use Forever's own settings controls.
WhereDesign › Blizzard art › Forever
What is the Perl theme?
Inspired by the Perl Classic Unit Frames: each part of a frame sits in its own dark box with Blizzard's thin tooltip border. The name box sits above the bar box, beside them a square portrait box and a small level box. The health share stands in its own column (“67%”). In combat or while resting, crossed swords or Zzz replace the level. Recommended sizes: large frames 160 × 56, small 120 × 44, party 150 × 60.
WhereDesign › Blizzard art › Perl
What does “Finish” change?
Finish dresses the frames of the class and own-color themes in a font and surface of their own, step by step more three-dimensional:
- Flat (default): IBM Plex Sans Condensed, no depth.
- Clear: Roboto Condensed, a black edge, a hard drop shadow, a light line on matte bars.
- Refined: Fira Sans Condensed, satin, a soft halo and glossy glass.
- Heroic: PT Sans Narrow Bold, stone, a sunken edge and an accent underline under the name.
- Also: Smooth, Minimalist, BantoBar and Glaze style.
The theme's colors, and the frames' sizes and places, stay. Classic, Forever and Perl keep Blizzard's art and have their own Bar texture choice instead.
WhereDesign › Finish
Can I change the bar texture?
Yes, for health and resource bars: Original (the theme's own textures, default), Flat, Clear, Refined, Heroic, Smooth style, Minimalist style, BantoBar style or Glaze style. Classic, Forever and Perl each remember their own choice.
WhereDesign › Bar texture
Can I choose the font?
Yes, the dropdown shows a sample of each: Theme default, Blizzard, IBM Plex Sans Condensed, Roboto Condensed, Fira Sans Condensed, PT Sans Narrow, Oswald, Barlow Semi Condensed, Rajdhani and Roboto Slab. It applies in every theme; sizes and outlines don't change. Names in other alphabets (Cyrillic, Korean, Chinese) keep Blizzard's font for that alphabet.
WhereDesign › Font
Can the health bars be bigger in Classic or Forever?
Turn on Large health bars. Player, target and focus then get a large health bar in the Classic and Forever art. Name and health value keep separate rows; the portrait and the outer frame keep their size.
WhereDesign › Large health bars
What do “Animations” do?
With Animations on, the bars glide to their new value, elements fade in when they appear, and a short trail under the health fill shows the damage just taken. Off, every value is set immediately.
WhereDesign › Animations
How do I color health bars by class?
Switch on Class colors. Group frames have one switch for all their members; each single frame has its own. The setup also asks for it in its first step, for all frames.
In the flat themes, class colors are brought to the brightness of the theme's bar, so names on the bar stay readable. Classic, Forever and Perl show them unchanged with outlined text. The Design page shows all nine class colors the way the selected theme draws them.

Single frames
Player, target, target of target, focus, focus target and pet. Each has its own page with tabs, and every option applies to that frame only.
How do I turn a single frame on or off?
Use its switch under Frames in use, or under “Your frames” on the start page. New characters start with all six on, and they replace Blizzard's frames at once. An existing character keeps its switches.
WhereSingle frames › Frames in use
How do I hide (or bring back) Blizzard's own frames?
Hide Blizzard frame (on by default) hides Blizzard's frame of that unit while the module is on, and brings it back when you turn the module off. Without Blizzard's player frame, its pet frame, totems and class bar stay visible in their place, unless the Pet module hides the pet frame itself.
For the party and raid, see Hide Blizzard party and raid frames.
WhereSingle frames › (frame) › Frame › Hide Blizzard frame
How do I change a frame's size?
Width (80–400 px), Height (24–140 px) and Scale (50–200 %). Without a value of your own, the recommendation applies: player, target and focus 160 × 56, the small frames 110 × 36; with the Classic art Blizzard's proportions at 90 % scale.
Recommended size resets width, height and scale and leaves the frame where it is.
WhereSingle frames › (frame) › Frame
How do I position a single frame exactly?
Drag it with Ctrl+Shift, or type Position X and Position Y (distance from the screen's center). Reset position puts it back in its place in the arrangement and keeps its size.
The arrangement decides where frames without a position of their own stand: Modern: bottom middle or Classic: top left. It keeps room for portraits, auras, cast bars and the Classic art, so nothing overlaps when combat starts.
WhereSingle frames › (frame) › FrameSingle frames › Arrangement › Arrange single frames
Which portraits can I show?
None, 2D (default), 3D or Class. Class shows a player's class icon large in the portrait; NPCs and pets keep their 2D picture. Portraits always have a dark background of their own, so the world never shows through a 3D model.
To set it for all single frames and the party in one go, use Portrait under Important settings. Raid sizes choose their portrait on the Group frames page.

How do I get the elite dragon around a portrait?
On target and focus, Classification dragon (on by default) shows the golden dragon for elites, the silver winged one for rares and the golden winged one for bosses, like Blizzard's target frame. Your own frame can wear one too: Dragon on the Player page (None, Elite, Rare, Boss). Both need a portrait.
Without a dragon, Classification on the Status tab writes Elite, Rare or Boss above the frame.

Can the level show the difficulty color?
Show level shows it on the portrait or next to the name. On target and focus, Level in difficulty color colors the level of attackable enemies grey, green, yellow, orange or red, like Blizzard; an unknown level shows the skull.

How do I change the health numbers?
Status text works like Blizzard's: Value (default), Value / maximum, Percent, Percent and value (default on the target), Missing health or Off.
For the group frames see missing health and percent.
WhereSingle frames › (frame) › Health and resource › Status text
Can I see mana, rage or energy as a number?
Set Resource text to Value, Value / maximum, Percent or Percent and value (Off by default). It shows while the resource bar shows and where the frame has room; the small 36 px frames have none. Rage and energy show no percent, like Blizzard.
Show resource bar switches the bar itself; Mana only shows it for mana users only.
WhereSingle frames › (frame) › Health and resource
Can large numbers be shortened (12.3K)?
Turn on Shorten large numbers (off by default). Health, resource and incoming heal numbers are then shortened by the game's own function, in the style of your client's language. Percentages stay whole numbers.

Can I see my mana as a druid in bear or cat form?
Druid mana in forms adds a mana bar directly under the player frame while a form shows another resource; in caster form it takes no room. Mana text in percent writes the value on it.
WhereSingle frames › Player › Health and resource
Where are my combo points?
Class resource shows combo points as pips above the frame (on for the player, off for the target). In Classic and Forever they are round like Forever's own; in Perl each pip sits in its own box.

Can I see my shaman totems?

WhereSingle frames › Player › Health and resource › Totem timers
Can the player frame show my experience?
Experience bar (off by default) shows a slim bar under the player frame, with the rested bonus as a paler part. Experience bar text: Off, Percent, Value or Both (default). There is no bar at the highest level. In Perl the experience becomes a third row in the bar box.

How do I set up the cast bars?
Player, target and focus have a Cast bar tab: Show cast bar, Spell icon, Remaining time (whole seconds), Cast bar position (above the frame by default, or below) and Cast bar height (8–40, default 18). On the player, Hide Blizzard cast bar (on) hides the game's bar.

How do I set up the buffs and debuffs on target and focus?
The Auras tab has Show debuffs, Show buffs, Own buffs only, Dispellable debuffs only and Hide permanent buffs. On the player, auras are off by default, because Blizzard's buff bar shows yours.
Target, focus, pet and the target-of frames also have:
- Aura rows like Blizzard (on): your auras larger, debuffs first on enemies, debuffs and buffs in separate blocks, stealable buffs glow.
- Aura lines (1–6; target and focus 3, pet 2, target of target 1).
- Most debuffs and Most buffs per group (target and focus 16 and 32, like Blizzard).
- Filter debuffs on NPCs (on): on hostile NPCs, other players' debuffs show only when flagged for everyone.
On friends, the order follows the Aura order of the group frames (Healing, Damage or Tank).

- Resting icon and Animate resting icon (Zzz), Combat icon, Status glow (gold while resting, red in combat).
- Leader icon and PvP icon, on the portrait or the frame.
- Threat: border color by threat; on target and focus by your threat.
- Threat in percent (target, focus; off): your threat as a number above the frame.
- Classification, Quest icon and Reaction colors (target, focus and their targets).
- Portrait flashes at low health: a player's portrait flashes red at 20 % health or less.

How does the incoming heal display work?
Show incoming heals extends the health bar by a segment for the healing of every healer the client knows about, so you see how far the bar will fill. Overhealing ends at the bar's end. A teal number shows the amount. The game's prediction does not include HoTs; your own HoTs get a segment of their own (next question).
WhereGroup frames › Health and resource › Heal prediction › Show incoming heals
Does it show the healing left on my HoTs?
Yes. Behind the incoming heal segment, a second one shows the remaining healing of your own HoTs on that unit, in its own color. It shrinks while the HoT runs and disappears with it. The addon learns the values from your spellbook's descriptions and, out of combat, from the aura itself. It also understands which unit your macros target.
Limits: only your own HoTs (no addon can predict other healers' HoTs in this client), and a HoT that is dispelled early stays visible until combat ends. Turning off Show incoming heals hides this segment too.

Mark low mana shows a small blue square on the bottom edge of members below Low mana threshold (5–50 %, default 20). With Healers only (on), only members with the healer role get it.

In what order do buffs and debuffs appear?
Auras sit in a band under each frame, ordered by Aura order:
- Healing (default): debuffs you can dispel, then your own buffs and HoTs (bronze border, soon-expiring first), then other debuffs and other players' buffs.
- Damage and Tank: dispellable debuffs, other debuffs, your buffs, others' buffs.
The setup sets this from your answer to click healing. Show debuffs and Show buffs switch the two halves of the band.

Can I see how long a buff or debuff lasts?
Remaining time: Both (default), Spiral, Number or Off. The spiral darkens the elapsed part; from one minute on, a number counts down in whole seconds, red in the last three. Numbers show on icons of 18 px and up. This applies to the aura bands of all frames, also in combat.
WhereGroup frames › Auras › Aura filters › Remaining time
How do I filter which auras show?
- Dispellable debuffs only: only debuffs you can dispel.
- Own buffs only: only buffs you cast.
- Hide permanent buffs: hides buffs without a duration (tracking, auras, stances).
- Show buff / debuff tooltip: the icon's tooltip when the mouse rests on it.

Can important boss debuffs show bigger?
Large boss debuff (on) shows a boss's most important debuff, or a debuff the client marks as important for a role, large beside the frame's numbers, with spiral and countdown. It also stays in the aura band.
WhereGroup frames › Auras › Aura filters › Large boss debuff
What are the HoT icons in the corners?
Own HoTs in the corners (on) puts your HoTs and shields as small icons with a spiral in fixed corners, so you see them at a glance. Priest: Renew top right, Power Word: Shield bottom right. Druid: Rejuvenation top right, Regrowth bottom right, Lifebloom top left. Shaman: Riptide top right, Earth Shield bottom right. Group frames only.

How do I see who needs a dispel?
Highlight dispellable debuffs (on) tints the whole frame in the color of a debuff you can remove, also in combat. In the aura band, each debuff's border shows its type, with a letter: M magic (blue), C curse (violet), D disease (ochre), P poison (green).
WhereGroup frames › Auras › Aura filters › Highlight dispellable debuffs
Why do auras have a fixed size and no “+N” count?
Forever does not let addons read auras in combat. So the aura band uses Blizzard's own aura containers, which the client fills itself, with stacks, dispel colors and tooltips, also in combat. In return the icons have a fixed size in one row, and the number of hidden auras is secret, so there is no “+N”. Whatever doesn't fit stays hidden.
Status and warnings
Range, aggro, low health, highlights and member states on the group frames.
How are members out of range shown?
Fade out of range (on) makes members out of range translucent, when the client can check their range. You and units without a check stay solid.
WhereGroup frames › Status › Range and icons › Fade out of range
How do I get aggro and low-health warnings?
Highlight aggro (on) puts a red rim around members with aggro. Low health warning (off) adds a yellow rim below Low health threshold (10–90 %, default 35).
WhereGroup frames › Status › Rims
Can my current target and the frame under the mouse be highlighted?
Highlight target (on) marks your current target's frame, Highlight on mouse-over (on) the frame under the mouse, both in the style of the theme and also in combat. Aggro and low-health rims stay visible on top.
WhereGroup frames › Status › Rims
Does it show ready checks, resurrections and summons?
Yes: Ready check, Show resurrection and Show summon (all on) show Blizzard's icons in the frame's middle. An incoming resurrection wins over a summon.
WhereGroup frames › Status › Range and icons
Can it show AFK, other phases, or dim dead members?
- Phase and other group: an icon for nearby members in another phase or instance group.
- Show AFK and DND: “AFK” or “DND” in the frame's middle, outside encounters.
- Dim dead and offline: a dark veil over dead and disconnected members, so your eye goes to the living.
All three are off by default. Offline members' health bars are always grey.

How do I move or hide the tooltip?
Show player tooltip switches it on or off. Tooltip position: Right (default), Left, Above, Below, Mouse (at the cursor) or Default (Blizzard's place at the screen's edge). Hide tooltip in combat hides it while you fight.
Hold Alt over a frame and the tooltip lists your click bindings.

Click healing
Heal by clicking frames: bindings, presets, ranks, keys and the mouse wheel.
How does click healing work?
There are seven inputs: left click, right click, middle click, mouse buttons 4 and 5, and mouse wheel up and down. Each works without a modifier and with Shift, Ctrl or Alt: 28 bindings in all. The modifiers are tabs on the Click healing page, with one field per mouse button. A click on a field opens the spell picker.
Every spell is cast by your real click or key press through the game's secure buttons. Nothing is cast automatically.
WhereClick healing
What do the class presets bind?
Priest, druid, paladin and shaman get a preset that fills itself with the spells you know:
| Input | Role in the preset |
|---|---|
| Left | Fast heal (an early substitute while needed) |
| Right | Big or slow heal |
| Middle click | Select target |
| Mouse 4 / wheel up | First cleanse, depending on the class |
| Wheel down | Second cleanse |
| Mouse 5 / Shift-left | HoT or supporting spell |
| Ctrl-left | Group heal, when learned |
| Shift-right | Shield or protection |
| Shift-middle | Resurrection |
| Shift-mouse 4 | Second cleanse |
| Shift-mouse 5 | Emergency spell |
Load class preset (click twice to confirm) sets every slot back to automatic. Your own bindings otherwise always stay, even slots you left empty on purpose.

Do my bindings update when I learn new spells or ranks?
Automatic slots follow the spellbook you actually have, not fixed level limits, and pick up new spells and higher ranks on their own. Bind new spells and ranks automatically pauses that; the last assigned spells stay.
A spell you pick yourself stays fixed, including its rank. For spells with several ranks, the picker offers “(spell) · Highest rank”: that slot always casts your highest rank and takes the new one after a level-up. In combat, updates wait until it ends.

Can a click target, open the menu, set focus or assist?
Yes. Besides a spell, every binding can be Select target, Open menu (Blizzard's unit menu), Set focus, Assist, Unbound or Automatic. These actions work in combat too.
WhereClick healing › Select a spell
Can I cast with keyboard keys while hovering a frame?
Yes. Next to mouse buttons 1–5 there is a Key on mouse-over field: click it and press a key (Esc removes it). While the mouse is over a group frame (or a single frame with click spells), that key acts like the mouse button, with Shift, Ctrl or Alt like the matching click. Works in combat. Each key belongs to one mouse button.
These keys belong to the character: they don't travel in profiles or codes.
WhereClick healing › (mouse button) › Key on mouse-over
How does the mouse wheel work?
Mouse wheel up and down only act over a group frame and only for bound combinations. The automatic preset binds them to cleansing spells only (magic, curse, poison or disease); without the learned spell the slot stays empty. You can bind anything else by hand.
WhereClick healing › Mouse wheel up / Mouse wheel down
I don't heal. Can clicks just target like Blizzard's frames?
Answer No to “Do you want to heal with clicks?” in the setup (/zuf setup). The group frames then get Blizzard's clicks: left click targets, right click opens the menu, all other buttons do nothing. Or set the bindings yourself on the Click healing page to Select target and Open menu.
My clicks do something else. What's wrong?
Disable other click-heal addons first, so that no competing mouse-over bindings take over. Zalamander Unitframes never changes your saved Blizzard key bindings. Hold Alt over a frame to see which spell each click casts.
Buffs and helpers
Smart buffs, SmartCast and the other out-of-combat helpers. They work only out of combat, where the client shares auras, deaths and roles openly.
What are the buff icons in the header?
The Smart buffs module shows an icon in the group frames' header for each buff your class can give that someone is missing (or that runs out within 2 minutes). Left click casts the single buff (highest rank) on the next member in range who needs it; right click casts the group version. The number counts who needs it; grey means not enough mana or a missing reagent. In combat the icons rest.
WhereGroup frames › Out of combat › Smart buffs
What does SmartCast do?
Out of combat, a plain left click on a group frame casts what that member needs: a resurrection on the dead, otherwise a dispel for a debuff you can remove, otherwise (with SmartCast: missing buffs) a missing buff. If they need nothing, the click does what it's bound to. The frame shows the icon of the spell a click would cast. In combat, with a modifier and on other buttons, your bindings always apply.
WhereGroup frames › Out of combat › SmartCast
Can a frame show which of my buffs it's missing?
Mark missing buffs shows, out of combat, the icon of a missing buff you can cast in the frame's lower left corner. It needs the Smart buffs module.
WhereGroup frames › Out of combat › Missing buffs
Can it announce my resurrections in chat?
Announce resurrection writes “Reviving (name).” to the party or raid chat when you cast a resurrection. Not when you're alone, not more than every ten seconds for the same name, and not while the client locks the chat for addons.

Moving and previews
Dragging frames, unlocking, and testing your layout without a group.
How do I move the frames?
Hold Ctrl+Shift and drag any frame, even without a header. The group frames move as one block, single frames one by one. Nothing moves in combat.
Unlock frames (or /zuf unlock) lets you drag without a modifier; clicks then only heal in combat. It lasts until you lock again (/zuf lock) or reload. Blizzard's Edit Mode unlocks the frames too and locks them when you leave it.
WhereGroup frames › Frame › Moving and preview › Unlock frames
How can I see my raid layout without a raid?
Preview & Mouse Editing or /zuf layout shows sample players for the active group size (5, 10, 15, 20, 25 or 40, chosen in the preview's bar). Drag the group, drag the Drag to resize handle to resize every frame, and press Done. The sample players show everything you'll read: classes, roles, dead, offline, out of range, aggro, debuffs, shields, incoming heals and HoTs.
Simulate combat (or /zuf sim) lets the values run like a fight. While the preview is open, clicks never heal anyone.
WhereGroup frames › Frame › Moving and preview › Preview & Mouse Editing
Does it work with Blizzard's Edit Mode?
Opening Edit Mode shows the same editing help. Zalamander Unitframes saves its changes at once and on its own; Blizzard's Save, Revert and layout switching don't manage them.
Profiles and sharing
Copy settings between your characters, or share them with friends.
How do I copy my settings to another character?
Every character is stored automatically when it logs in and out. On the Profiles page, choose another character or a general profile on the left and pick the areas to apply: Look & layout, Display, healing & auras, Click Bindings and Modules & single frames. Click bindings only come from characters of the same class.
Save as general profile makes your settings available to all your characters. Use for this character (link) links a character to it, so changes apply to every linked character.
WhereProfiles › Characters and general profiles
Do profiles copy frame positions?
Between your own characters, yes: Look & layout brings the group frames' positions, Modules & single frames the places of the single frames. Leave that area out if you want to keep your positions. Profile codes for other players never carry positions.
Troubleshooting
When something looks different from what you expect.
Some art doesn't show. How do I check?
Type /zuf textures. It lists every texture the frames draw with as “present” or “missing”, with a total at the end. The addon ships no Blizzard art; it loads it from your client. If a texture is missing, the frame falls back to the theme's own look.
Why do some displays only work out of combat?
In combat, Forever keeps many values secret from addons: auras, health, range, roles and more. Zalamander Unitframes passes such values unread to the client's own widgets wherever it can, so bars, auras, range fading, dispel highlights and warnings keep working in combat. Helpers that have to read and compare values, like SmartCast, missing-buff marks and member sorting, pause until combat ends.
I see Blizzard's frames and mine at the same time.
Check Hide Blizzard frame on the frame's page, and Hide Blizzard party frames / Hide Blizzard raid frames for the group. Turning a module off always brings Blizzard's frame back.

How do I hide the beta client's “Issue Reporter”?
Turn on Hide the Issue Reporter. It hides Blizzard's box of the beta and PTR clients.
WhereGeneral › Beta client › Hide the Issue Reporter
Is it stable? What does “beta” mean here?
The addon is tested automatically in a mock Forever client, and its menus, themes and previews have been checked in the game. Some newer options still need checks in real combat and raids. Your settings and bindings always stay when you update.
